To protect data on the USB flash drive when the USB is lost or stolen, SECUDRIVE USB Enterprise has adopted strong authentication process. To prevent exposure by brute-force attack, entire data onboard gets automatically locked when the user fails to input the correct password for 10 consecutive times. The locked USB drive will be reusable only when the administrator authenticates its usage.
Embedded in hardware encryption crypto chip, SECUDRIVE USB Enterprise provides three features that distinguish it from other secure flash drives, adopting software encryption methods.
| - Convenience: Unlike the software encryption method, which requires installation of encoding software on the host PC, all encryption procedures of hardware encrypted flash drives are done solely on the device. It provides more portability to the user.
- Security: In order to encrypt and decrypt data with software encryption method, decipher key needs to be installed on the host PC. It can be used on any PC, providing more portability to the user. Once the decipher key is exposed, any data encrypted by the key is vulnerable from leakage. Since SECUDRIVE USB performs encryption process on the device itself, exposure of decipher key and data leakage is impossible.
- Copy Protection: Customizable copy protection features (DRM) are available using SECURDRIVE USB Enterprise Manager Program. This includes file copy & paste prevention, screen capture prevention, file printing prevention and network transfer control. | |
